How To Repair A Gerber 49-700
For Gerber Single Handle Shower valves models:
GS-303, GS-305,
GH-301, GH-305,
GS-310, GS-311, GS-312, , GS-315, GS-315-PK, GS-313, GS314, GS-317, GS-325
Cartridge # 0097058
1. Make sure that the water is shut off earlier yous offset
(either past closing the check valves on the brass shower valve itself clockwise or by endmost the main supply lines hot and cold).
2. Remove bonnet nut or base nut after you remove handle by turning it counter clockwise by hand.
If there is no bonnet nut (in one-time models), then the temp limit device will be exposed. There is no need to remove whatsoever other part to adjust the temp limit device.
iii.Brand sure the stem is positioned where the stopper of the cartridge is on the left as shown below.
Pull out the 2 gears (old version was white and off white or white and gray or white and blackness). New version is Blue and Red.
4. Ensure that the dimple on cartridge brass stem is facing UP (if hot line is on your left mitt side when facing the shower).
****For Back to Back instillation or if If supply lines are reversed (hot line is on your correct manus side when facing the shower), so the dimple or (indentation) suppose to exist down facing the flooring.
OR
if y'all get hot first when turning shower handle on, then dimple has to be reversed 180º.****
5. Place the bluish cam on the stem positioning the apartment side against the stopper from the bottom. Place the red cam on top. Position it so that both tapered cease meets each other in i line equally shown below. Note: This setting will allow for maximum hot water.

- Pull out the Temperature Limit Cease.
- Rotate the limiter Clockwise for Cold (-) and Counter Clockwise for Hot (+) equally below:
- For Dorsum to Back instillation or (if hot is on your right manus shower when facing the shower),
a. Plough off the water supply and salve force per unit area from the valve.
b. Remove Bonnet, retainer washer, Ceramic cartridge an Entire pressure level balancing spool from the valve torso.
c. Flip / Push/ Rotate the black tab over the contrary side of the trunk.
d. Re-assemble the valve torso.
For Gerber Shower Valve model GS-103 or GS-105 Serial:
Cartridge # 0095154
There is a factory temperature preset which can be inverse by removing the Limit Devise or Terminate.
- Unscrew the Cap or Bonnet nut from the valve body.
- Remove the Red or metallic Limit Stop with long-olfactory organ pliers. Pull out from the trunk assembly.
- Observe the Limit Stop: Notice the (+) and the (-) signs. These indicate the amount of hot water which is allowed to catamenia.
- If it is also hot, turn the Temp Limit Device clockwise.
If it is too common cold, turn the Temp Limit Device counter clockwise. - For back to dorsum installation or (if hot is on your right hand shower when facing the shower):
a. Remove Cap or bonnet nut from the valve trunk.
b. Remove the Clip from the brass stalk.
c. Remove the Stem Band from the assembly.
d. Rotate the stem 180º.
e. Insert the Stem Ring onto the assembly (making certain that the apartment side is facing you).
f. Snap the Prune back onto the brass stalk.
g. Operate shower valve and test it.
